Dear Dodgers,
I want to congratulate all the players for setting their goal to win the championship, and then working hard to achieve that goal as a team. I saw these young men overcome hard times and some tough losses to become proud self-confident champions.
- Nathaniel, who had never played organized ball before, developed into a good outfielder who not only made a key catch in today's final inning, but he also got two hits.
- It was a privilege to watch big Nate become the team leader that I knew he could become. Watching him become a confident hitter hitting two out of the park was also a thrill.
- I will always remember the grace with which Aaron would glide under a fly ball, and the long distance that he would regularly drive the ball.
- It was great to see Julian get so many key hits in so many key situations.
- Brian became an outstanding first baseman and pitcher.
- In today’s game Matt was the stellar pitcher we knew we could count on.
- I want to thank Elijah for the excitement at short stop. I will never forget his chasing the ball to the second base side and making the throw.
- Dylan, thank you for the key hits. You developed a lot of power in your swing.
- Zach was his usual steady self on the field and at bat.
- Adam, today was the championship game, and you turned in a championship performance.
- We missed Josh and Jeremy but we knew they were with us in heart.
- This year Josh became the strong hitter I knew he could become.
- Jeremy became the strong pitcher that I knew he could become.
- I also want to thank both of my assistant coaches for putting up with me this season. Putting up with me is not an easy task sometimes.
Thanks team for a great baseball season. It was a real pleasure being your coach.
Coach Chuck
