PITTSBURG POOL DECK COLLAPSES

MOM, KIDS, TUMBLE AS DECK COLLAPSES

POSTED: 2:42 pm EDT - WTAE TV 4 Pittsburg

PITTSBURGH -- A woman and her children were shaken up Monday morning when the back deck of their home fell down with them on it.

The collapse happened in the 200 block of Rothman Street in Pittsburgh's Arlington neighborhood, police said.

The mother, 27-year-old Becky Schlegel, is being kept overnight at Mercy Hospital with a shoulder injury. Her sons, ages 7 and 3, were treated and released.

The reason for the collapse is unknown. Investigators are trying to determine if the weight of an inflatable swimming pool on the deck had anything to do with it.
